maybe
psychiatry isn't
so bad

colleagues there
seem generally
happier
friendlier
more open
minded

the subject is infinitely
more
fascinating
than
troponins
and
alpha-feta
proteins

albeit

without their cold
certainty

and
yeah

sure

in psychiatry
the nurses
psychologists
social workers
scientologists
and
joe
bloggs

may give you
shit

but

hey

at the end of the day

who's the one
doing the training
who's the one
doing the job
who's the one
who should know
about their own field

and at the end of the day

it's still
all
about
the
person
in
front
of
me


so all those people
can
just take
their
crap
elsewhere



it takes
strength

to work
in a fledgeling
field,

a field where
everyone assumes
they know
something
and assumes they have
a say

and persevere

i think i may be
regaining
the strength

to

come back

and persevere.
