not alone, but lonely

[for jeff, for me, for all of us]

not alone, but god - so, so lonely.

someone asks me, 'where are you now?'
and i tell him of my travels -

i have soared with an albatross across icy seas, i have looked a lioness in the eye and not faltered, i have climbed great peaks and rolled down infinite sand dunes, skimmed the bottom of the ocean and seen stars in many eyes. i have sipped wine with angels beneath spring leaves and burnt in the flames of unrequited love.

i have travelled more than most people would care,
and yet,
yes,

in the end,
i am still here,
in this same room,
beneath this same light.

i tell him, it's not so much about where i am right now, but more about the ache that i feel in my heels,

the reminder of all my experience.

i try not to mind all this travelling.

one day we all find our goddess beneath the olive tree.
our time will come.

Hi there Mr. Kim Jon Il...

u so ronery...

But seriously.

I am sorry to hear bout how alone u feel. I know that u dont mean your friends nd stuff (otherwise - c'mon! i kick ur ass! :-) )

I know u mean that 'someone'.... that being that will make u feel ... whole?
again?
complete?
as before... or better.
or betterer.

its good to see that u r getting positive at least at the end of ur neo-poems. u will find someone. may be not beneath an olive tree- there arent much in NZ. u might have to travel to Greece/Italy/Malta to look under olive trees (although - not a bad idea... might just be what u need - a nice European girrrrrl).
Dude - thats life isnt it. Thats kinda part of it sbeauty. That no matter how far we travel , wat see, and what we do in our lives - we still have this huge ocean ahead of us... and we dont know what lies beneath... or how far the nearest land thing is...
Nd it would be great to find someone to share this journey with. someone who would make us feel stronger/better swimmer/ more cofident... or someone to just share challenge with.... but wat if we dont find this person until we are already in the water - paddling away.
Wat if to find that special part of ur life... u do indeed need to find urself first. figure out ur own contours to find the right piece to make the puzzle complete?

wow.

And. watching the departed on ur lonesome is not recomended - i tried it in the States. doenst really go down that well - for ur psyche and overall well being.

Good poem though. a Neo-poem.

wo

Take care maite...

U know where to find me... (in ACH - shaking my booty - oh yeah! he................)

ilia, the whole building is shaking. pls stop!

and there i was thinking "gosh, dha wrote a poem all for me"....

see.

i have the tendency to see pigs in the sky.

I have the tendency to drown in flames

I have the tendency to burn in water.

(eh?)

How if ilia.

how if

How i perceive myself, is how others perceive me?

How if

I lived my life as a mime of others?

maybe i'll never find myself

cos there's no myself in the first place!

i'm a nobody
