this is it
carefully
i
unhinge the day's
shrapnel
off
my body
and arrange it before
me.
it takes the shape of
a phoenix. its wings beat
in my ears.
breathe
now -
this
is it!
the moon a face
peering through the window,
the highway an ocean outside,
its tides humming.
a cat's eyes flash
red in some
headlight,
remnants of morning's perfume
linger in my room
- this is
it
- now!
i burn in the fire of the present.
a new bird
taps through a crack
in the ashes.
i
unhinge the day's
shrapnel
off
my body
and arrange it before
me.
it takes the shape of
a phoenix. its wings beat
in my ears.
breathe
now -
this
is it!
the moon a face
peering through the window,
the highway an ocean outside,
its tides humming.
a cat's eyes flash
red in some
headlight,
remnants of morning's perfume
linger in my room
- this is
it
- now!
i burn in the fire of the present.
a new bird
taps through a crack
in the ashes.

Some may say keeping a blog may be one's way to feel important and thereby establish/reserve/protect their identity as they create their realm where their voices are acknowledge and "published", especially in this world where one's identity is bombarded by too many opinions, information.
Th preceding paragraph, i attempt to deliver the voice of our Great ilia, th polar bear, in one of our heated conversation during th Bay o Is trip.
And I do agree wi Big buoy but i think ur writing (which of course is a reflection of ur character as a whole) has definately taken a leap to another level, now that they do resemble "publishing" materials.
I'll always b ur greatest fan, ur first reader, not to mention to b ur critique and ur private optometrist, ma cyclopes ;)
Oh.
And can i be your... private....
ahm....
Oh well - i can fix your nose maybe :-)

Ilia, you are funney, i'm so greatful for the constant humour you create in abundance.
Joocy, i couldnt agree with you more, D's writing does indeed resemble publishing material.
Dha i would like to thank you for the silent inspiration you provide me.
~Namaste ~
(I bow to divine essence that is your true nature.)
